A Ten Week Journey of Self-Healing

Over these 10 weeks you'll discover more of who you are, and gain the confidence to use self-healing methods.

And we'll dive deep into the well-kept secret that humans have practiced for thousands of years!

In this course we discuss and practice a variety of self-healing methods. We  draw from the science of circadian rhythm and habits for longevity, giving you powerful tools to understand and work with your body. A key practice that I guide is Shivambhu/urine therapy (UT), including beginner, intermediate and advanced practices.

  • Shivambhu is mentioned in texts dated at 5000 years old. The Damar Tantra is the document from India that names Shivambhu which means 'Water of Awareness'
  • Circadian Rhythm habits and other habits for longevity and health all improve the experience of being in one's physical body. Want better digestion, deeper sleep and clearer awareness of what your body needs? Self-healing tools will do this.

This 10 week online zoom course includes:

  • More than ten habits habits for longevity and health, which I combine these with the practice of Shivambhu. They work beautifully together to establish daily, weekly and seasonal rhythms that will serve you for the rest of your life. This course builds a foundation for personal transformation. You can set personal goals and develop lasting habits.
  • Ten weeks of Shivambhu (Urine Therapy) guidance - The course will hold your hand and give you the opportunity to expand your practice within a community of shared interests and values.
  • Access to a full online library of habit videos and practical resources.
  • A one-on-one (15 mins) coaching  session with me, for anything related to the course.
  • Weekly 90 minute live online class via Zoom).
  • Optional UT Q&A calls (dates to be confirmed)
  • And a private Telegram group for discussion, support, celebrating successes, and meeting curious and adventurous people from around the world.

Why Self-Healing Methods?

Everything I teach is self-healing and provides you with tools for life.

  • Combining these practices results in the consistent lowering of inflammation throughout the body and mind.
  • Inflammation can show up as fatigue, joint pain, bloating, cravings, headaches, anxiety, stress, and other symptoms. It's the leading cause of disease in the body and reducing it is the cure.
  • We’ll cover daily habits that will help you digest, sleep, build energy and focus, connect your creativity and help you realize the kind of life you want to live.
  • You are the alchemist – you transform your own experience.

Personal Alchemy for me is about understanding and acting upon the truth that we are the ones who change our own experience. The alchemists of lore worked to transmute one substance into another. Personal Alchemy is about the potential to activate our souls in our personal lives. This course is for those of us who want to shed what no longer serves, expand into who we are here to be, and discover the truth of who we are.

A bit about me

Hi! I'm Megan Macdonald

I am originally from Prince Edward Island, Canada. I’ve lived in many places, including the UK and Germany and love learning languages. In my 'Personal Alchemy' courses, I offer guidance and a community for people ready to invest in their health and future self.

I was introduced to Urine Therapy in 2013 by my teacher Shakti Mhi. She has been practicing UT for over 40 years. In the last 10 years since I started with Shivambhu the changes to my health and quality of life have been dramatic. I have developed my experience over many years, and I’ve helped hundreds of others on their health journey.

Over 20 years I’ve also incorporated many daily and seasonal habits into my life. In 2020, with all the stress, it was obvious to me that these self-healing methods and habits held me up and held me together. I love to share the ancient wisdom, and modern science, of habit evolution. I pair these with Shivambhu and the other main method I facilitate – the Self-Healing Dalian Method (for more on DM click here). I want you to have examples of what has worked for others, clarity on how to incorporate Shivambhu into daily life, the huge shifts that you can expect in your health and overall well-being, and how you will be able do this too!

I can’t emphasize enough how amazing these practices are for all levels of health.

If you’ve been interested in learning more, this course provides a safe and solid container for a dynamic exchange of energies: as we learn together about many powerful self-healing methods.

I hold a PhD in the Performance of Belief from Queen Mary, University of London, UK. I am also a yoga teacher, reiki practitioner, event planner and researcher.

Finding what works, not more busy work...

I know what it’s like to not be sure where to start. To desire so much to feel better. Over the years I’ve developed my tool kit. By practicing most of these methods most of the time, I discovered what works best for me and built my confidence to care of myself. And you can, too.

This is a spiritual path for me. It involved learning new ways of caring for my physical body, learning my emotions, watching my thoughts, and integrating it all with the knowing of my soul. In pursuit of this path, I’ve unbalanced myself a few times. I turned my practices into to-do lists, and I beat myself up for not getting enough done. My intention is to provide you with guidance and support so you can benefit from my learning and perhaps prevent your own pitfalls.

I will provide you with tools that help you find balance, not a to-do list that you need to perfect to prove yourself. You will be strong, clear, confident and have practices to sustain you while learning in a supportive community.

FAQ

-       Is this course only about Shivambhu? No, this course is a self-healing methods course. It is likely about 50% self-healing methods and 50% Shivambhu. Where we put the emphasis depends on the participants and the questions that you ask. We cover ancient wisdom from Ayurveda and yoga each week, as well as linking these habits with Spiritual concepts for growth. All of this is paired with Shivambhu practice. The breadth of knowledge goes beyond Shivambhu, and also, Shivambhu is a dynamic practice that is interwoven through the entire course.

-       I’ve never done Urine Therapy, is this a beginner course? This is a dynamic course that starts with the basics and moves into more diverse practices. The access to weekly calls, a forum to ask questions and a community to learn from will support you through 3 months of all of your practices. This will give you a great foundation, as a beginner in the practice.

-       I’ve been doing UT for a year, is this course relevant to me? YES! I have been practicing daily since 2013 and I include my most recent experiments, readings and finding on Shivambhu each time I teach. If you are interested in learning more, this is for you! I am always looking for resources to share with my members that will help them develop their own practice. I’m learning every month from my own research and what my course members share with me!

-       What if I can’t make the calls, how long will the recordings be available? The calls will all be uploaded into the course hub and will be there for as long as I am teaching courses (I’m looking at many years!).

-       I’m not sure about the commitment, what is your refund policy? Once you have access to the course hub you will have access to all of the content that I’ve already provided. Because of this there is no refund for the course.

-       Do I have to drink my pee? No, you do not! You can participate and learn from the material and the group. There are no rules and no rush with Shivambhu.

I’ve been on my healing journey for about 30 years - to work with back pain I had as a teenager. This led me to trying over 20 healing modalities over the years. Along the way I've assembled practices that helped me feel better in my body and look vibrant and energized.
--
I've been a Shivambhu practitioner for since 2013. After years of sharing with family and friends, I started teaching about healthy habits and Shivambhu, and for the last two years I’ve been offering courses. It is through courses that I see the biggest shift in peoples’ awareness and daily practice.
--

Shivambhu practice is ancient and yet still on the edges of society. It is hard to find good information and a holistic approach that is suited to the beginner and the more advanced person. The best part of what I offer is experience in COMMUNITY. During these 10 weeks we’ll have time to try practices and come back with questions. Time to discuss, to share, to learn from each other.

I’ve discovered through leading courses that self-healing methods create deep change and often require long integration times - because we change our identity as we change our habits. You may have tried changing habits and then tried again a few months or years later. You may wonder what your habit is doing for/with you when you repeat the same practices every day. If these or other thoughts have come to you, this course is for you.

The benefits of being in community for habit evolution are HUGE. And many people who’ve done my courses return for another because of the integration and learning time.
Where are you in your health and Shivambhu journey?

For those who enjoy ALL the details - - Week by week here is what we cover in the course.

Week 1

Introduction to the power of all the self-healing practices that we will cover. We also start the discussion of Shivambhu, how to get going, basic practices and why Shivambhu is not waste, but a health practice and medicine. We discuss reasons the basic concerns people have and ways to answer questions from friends and family.

Week 2

We start looking at habits this week – Aligning what we eat and when we eat as well as when we go to bed can make a huge and quick difference to our health. These are discussed for their health benefits including how they help to quickly reduce inflammation.

We introduce Spiritual Alchemy and how we alchemize/transform ourselves through our own practices. The 8 steps of Spiritual Alchemy accompany each week as a way to integrate the changes that are happening within. This week we discuss Calcination and the Fire element.

Deep dive into the Human Metabolome Database study of Shivambhu, highlighting some of the over 3000 endogenous metabolites that have been detected in Shivambhu.

Week 3

Habit – How we begin the day sets us up for success. You can have more energy, focus and ease.

In Spiritual Alchemy we look at Dissolution and the Water element

Of all the practices, the external application of Shivambhu to the skin is among the most impressive and practical in its overall use. We delve into how we heal and how Shivambhu changes how our skin heals, leading to fewer scars and less pain.

Week 4

Habit – Moving the body every day and connecting with the breath is a key to living and taking care of the human body. These breath and body practices connect the physical experiences to the spiritual changes that are happening as we learn more about self-healing methods. There are so many ways to engage this habit that each person can experiment to find what is working for them.

Spiritual Alchemy – Separation and the Air Element

Shivambhu helps us to understand how the body works with infection, and this week we study a few scientific journals for clues as to its ability to kill bacteria and viruses.

Week 5

Habit – The habit this week is all about bringing more plants and healthy ways of eating to the body. As we work with Shivambhu our body naturally starts to show us what foods most resonate with our optimal health. Shivambhu teaches us what is best for us to eat each day. It helps us work through cravings and addictions efficiently and with less struggle and effort.

Spiritual Alchemy – Conjunction and the Earth Element

Shivambhu is 95% water and this water is more available to us as hydration and nutrition than anything else. We use a comparison with structured water as a way to understand more about why Shivambhu is so powerful in the body.

Week 6

Habit – Deeply understanding our skin is possible through Self-Massage and it just happens that Shivambhu is the ultimate moisturizer. This is a way to really work with the signals your body gives you.

Spiritual Alchemy – Putrefaction and Fermentation

We examine what happens when we evolve or ferment Shivambhu to amplify its powers. There is science to back this practice that will help you understand why this is so amazing.

Week 7

Habit – Whether we call it meditation or sitting in silence, this habit is essential to know the self. In the silence is where we get our answers to our true nature, and what we should be doing in every moment. As part of this exploration, we look at Osho’s Active Meditations which help modern people to find stillness.

Spiritual Alchemy – Distillation

There are many ways to evolve or ferment Shivambhu. Once we have a few bottles, then what? This week we look at tools and tips for evolving and filtering.

Week 8

Habit – As we commit to habits and our own health, we become more sensitive to the subtle. We’ll be looking at all of our senses this week, what subtleties we are aware of, and how to tend to our sensory organs.

Spiritual Alchemy – Coagulation

In the womb around the 10 week mark, the embryo starts to secrete Shivambhu. What effect does this have on the formation of the fetus itself? We’ll look at Shivambhu and tissue formation.

Week 9

Habit – The purpose of all our habits and self-healing practices is to come to more self-awareness and find more ease amongst our efforts. Self-healing is not about doing more, or finding more things to be stressed about, it’s about finding more relaxation and self-trust.

Spiritual Alchemy – Rotation

Of all the practices with Shivambhu there are a few that stand out for their immediate and obvious positive effects. We’ll cover the top external and internal applications of Shivambhu so your tool box is ready to go when you need it!

Week 10

Habit – Alongside all the habits, fasting and cleansing are not only easier with Shivambhu, but also support all the other habits. We’ll look at how we can incorporate fasting and cleansing into our seasonal habits.

Looking back over the course, we’ll take stock as we plan a few more steps ahead - Who are you becoming? What does that look like and what do you feel is possible?
